IT'S A YARD SALE Y'ALL!!

THIS WEEKEND...

crappy cell photos of a busy weekend...

being as it was a three day weekend, i decided i should at least TRY to be productive... with that in mind, here's what i came up with...

this cute lil girl and (the vintage owl fabric) tiny tote are for an upcoming giveaway by a bunch of etsy sellers, i'll post the link once it's up...

i also got these pillowcases done for this, http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/42742, swap... made each partner a pair (i hated the idea of a lone one on the bed...) the colors are way more vibrant... the bats are neon green and the stripes more a leafy/frankenstein-y green. :)

made these lil plushie tombstones and mutant bunnies yesterday (ok, I made the tombstones Thursday)... they are all for the 2 thirteen days of halloween swaps on swap-bot. one of my partner's profile says she isn't too into "cutesy" stuff, hopefully these aren't too much.

ok, so i was browsing through my flickr account and decided i'd do a post with some of the tattoo pictures i had uploaded on there... these pics are all pretty much over a year and a half old, if not older... so this may be a bit like connect the dots to figure out how things are actually placed now... this first one is basically what one sees whenever i leave the house on weekends... i believe that view is pretty up to date except that the backs of my knees now say "red sky at night" and "red sky at morning".

this is my spiffy mitch byrd/bettie page mer-monster and my johnny and june calla lillies... the lillies are now topped by a hank sr dead swallow (shown later) and there is a cupcake on my foot below the mer-monster...

awwww, look how empty and lonely my left shin was looking!!! it is now graced by the edges of the aforementioned dead swallow and a monkey lighting a bottlerocket surrounded by pbr empties. those damn drunk monkeys. ;)

the hank sr swallow... kinda a divorce celebration... got it around my former anniversary, which was also the day hank married miss audrey...

some summer silliness.

so one day we were out driving around (ok, really we had seen someone selling cellos on craigslist for like $30 and thought it would be funny to string one as an upright bass for bug...) and ended up in the parking lot of what i seem to remember being a dentists' office (it shared the lot with the music store that was fresh outta cellos. bastards.), where we found this great bear... kinda looks like it may have been yogi's buddy booboo in a former life?

this lil darlin' is miss patsy swine... she was yet another craigslist score... someone was GIVING AWAY three, yes THREE, potbellied pigs... being the portrait of self-control we went over there and managed to only come home with one. the hippie girl we get her from called her "shroom" (molly and chicken were the other 2 pigs names) we decided we would not be naming her 'shroom and put out the request to our dear friends for name suggestions... carrie faye came up with "patsy swine" and won. we were actually at the hank 3 show drinking with johnny paycheck's son, beau, so patsy swine seemed quite fitting.

patsy has proven to be the silliest pet EVER. how often do YOU have to scold a pig for running thru the sliding glass door and eating all the dogs' food? i have to daily... so strange. she and the ducks spend all day peacefully grazing in the backyard.

and that brings us to this little monster... his name is vato (yup, as in a mexican gangster). he is about 11 pounds of spoiled ass chihuahua (pronounced cha-hoo-ah-hoo-ah). bug and i saw him at the pound one day after we were at the pool. i sent jason a pic of him and told him there was a chihuahua and a ferret and that i was bringing one home, and he said "you know i don't want no damn ferret" heehee. bug would later use that when my mom asked why i got another dog. "because jason doesn't like ferrets" HAHAHAHAHAHA.

i made these little ladies for a swap i'm hosting on swap-bot (http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/43585)... simple little felt ornies ranging from about 2.5" to 4" or so. made up my own "pattern" (read: pretty much cut felt pieces till they fit)... pretty easy, super cute, i think they'll look adorable on a tree. :)

so, this week i joined this... http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/41167 ... and then i made these silly lil pink felt ornies... as you can probably tell by now i ADORE felt... it is such an underrated and versatile medium!! it is truly one of my favorites... i am lucky to have a couple of die cut machines at work and TONS of dies to choose from, so i took my pink felt up there and came back with stars and squirrels... a bit of stitchin' and stuffin' later and voila!!
